Book a Heart Health Check

If you’re 45 and over, you should book your Heart Health Check at Next Practice today. Having a regular Heart Health Check will help you understand your risk of a heart attack and get the support you need to lower this risk.

What should you expect in a Heart Health Check?

  • Testing
    • We will check your blood pressure, cholesterol and blood sugar levels
  • History and lifestyle
    • Your lifestyle plays an important part in your risk of heart disease. We’ll discuss factors such as your diet, physical activity, if you smoke or drink alcohol, maintaining a healthy weight, medical and family history.
  • Risk assessment
    • Your doctor will use this information to assess your risk of having a heart attack or stroke.
  • Make a plan
    • If needed, we will work with you to create a plan for improving your risk factors for heart disease and keep track of your heart health.

How can you protect your heart?
