Dayna is passionate about patient-centred care, whole-person health and well-being, health optimisation, and preventive health care. She has an integrative, collaborative, and multi-disciplinary approach to health care and is a member of ACNEM.

Dayna considers the nutritional, environmental, physical, emotional and social components of health and wellbeing. She takes an evidence-informed, integrative approach to healthcare, combining knowledge in conventional medicine with knowledge in the complementary medicine space.

Dayna is an accredited GP provider of focussed psychological strategies and has a Graduate Certificate of Psychiatric Medicine and a Graduate Diploma of Psychiatric Medicine. She has undertaken additional training in anxiety, depression, youth mental health, eating disorders, trauma-informed care, and substance use (alcohol and other drugs). She has a strengths-based, recovery-oriented approach to psychotherapy and has studied Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, and Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR) therapy.

Dayna has a Diploma of Obstetrics and Gynaecology and can insert and remove Implanon contraceptive devices. She also has a Diploma in Child Health. Prior to becoming a GP, Dayna worked in a number of areas of medicine including: adult and paediatric acute care, obstetrics and gynaecology, general medicine, general surgery, and psychiatry (adult and child/adolescent).

In addition to working at the practice, Dayna works in a team with other doctors and allied health professionals to produce evidence-based medical guidelines.
